Ingrid Zhu brings over two decades of real estate investment and asset management experience across Asia-Pacific, with a track record of executing complex, high-value transactions for global institutions. As a senior advisor to BluFin, she contributes deep sector expertise, disciplined execution capability, and an institutional mindset that meaningfully strengthens the firm’s real estate strategy.
Her career spans senior positions at Oaktree Capital, KKR Asia, Ivanhoe Cambridge, and Vanke—covering both equity and credit investments in logistics, office, retail, hospitality, and residential assets. Ingrid’s expertise includes deal structuring, cross-border financing, underwriting, and full-cycle asset management. Her ability to operate across markets and manage both risk and opportunity through cycles adds critical depth to BluFin’s leadership.
At Oaktree Capital, she served as Responsible Officer (RO) for both Hong Kong and Shanghai, leading direct and structured lending transactions to real estate developers and sponsors. Her role included sourcing, underwriting, and executing private credit deals, with responsibility for ongoing portfolio management, performance tracking, and investor reporting. She also led default resolution and restructuring processes, working across legal, tax, and compliance functions to protect capital and ensure alignment with fund mandates.
During her tenure at KKR Asia, Ingrid managed diversified real estate investments across APAC, with a focus on asset-level planning, quarterly valuation processes, and fund-level reporting. She played a key role in coordinating back-leverage structures and SPV financing arrangements to optimize capital efficiency. She was also involved in the disposition of platform-level investments, managing negotiations and documentation for exits.
At Ivanhoe Cambridge, Ingrid led the acquisition and portfolio management of large-scale logistics platforms, including a 20-asset joint venture with GIC and APG in China. Her work extended to cross-border transactions such as the acquisition of a cold storage complex in Australia, as well as the underwriting of retail and outlet projects in Shanghai in partnership with international operators. She managed capex planning, leasing strategy, budget reviews, and platform governance.
Fluent in Mandarin and English, Ingrid is skilled at managing investor relationships, board-level communications, and cross-regional coordination. She holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from Tongji University’s M&A Center, a Bachelor of Architecture, and is a CFA charterholder.
